"Maybe you need a push- to get out there, risk something, try something, start something. And maybe you need permission to let something go, to walk away, to put down something you’ve been carrying for way too long.
So this is what I want to know: what do you need right now? In this season, do you need the push, or do you need the permission?” Shauna Niequist
In a hard (but good) season, on a part of a path I hadn’t seen, in the beginning of a new chapter of a story I would never have thought to write for myself. The best kind of stories are the ones that stretch us, change us, grow something in us that matters. Trusting Jesus and seeking Him first. He is faithful to complete the good work He began in us, He is faithful with the desires He gives, He is faithful — His character does not change (such a comfort to my heart). Slowly learning how to live with my dreams and hands open wide, ready to give, to receive, to let go. Trying so hard to be honest with myself and to be brave with my story. We don’t expect plot twists, can’t always anticipate mile markers, dead ends, new routes. Whatever happens, whatever holding fast, I pray to receive it wholly, to live full of grace, joy, thanks and praise.
I know this — He is good, always, and His plans are for life, and life to the full. Waiting, walking, hoping, ready to go where He leads.
"But they that wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." - Isaiah 40:31
